Press Release - Trading Standards and Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue are offering free testing of Electric Blankets and Portable Heaters. Every year in the UK over 100 people die and nearly 1000 are injured because of fires caused by heating appliances. We are once again offering, in partnership with Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue, free safety testing of electric blankets and small portable heaters in West Berkshire, Wokingham and Bracknell Forest.

In its update, the Home Office confirmed that "the Government has decided to extend the alcohol licensing regulatory easements relating to off-sales, set out in the Business and Planning Act 2020 (BPA), until 31 March 2025."
