New Security Measures Legislation Martyn’s Law. The Public Protection Partnership will be involved in helping to promote new government legislation which aims to improve anti-terrorism measures for large public venues when the draft legislation is introduced in the spring of 2023. The new laws will aim to increase preparedness of venues, help to deter attackers and reduce the severity of attacks.

Avian influenza in birds: new online system for reporting dead birds. This week, the government launched a new online system for reporting dead wild birds and published guidance on when and how to report dead wild birds.

The Home Offices releases new resources re the Poisons Act 1972. Home Office has released new resources to help businesses inform their staff about their legal obligations under the Poisons Act 1972. The Act requires all businesses selling regulated and reportable substances to report suspicious transactions and significant losses or thefts.

Counterfeit Mobile Phone Products Seized in West Berkshire. Trading Standards Officers, in partnership with Apple technicians visited a shop in West Berkshire this week and seized over 700 mobile phone related products.
